Come out and join fellow Chi-town Conservatives as we discuss the fast changing events here in Chicago. Tea Party planning will start early at 6:00pm. We will look at themes and messages as well as collecting volunteers for gathering materials and paraphernalia. So bring your creativity and passion as we get ready to send another clear message to the country and Obama (guaranteed to stick in his craw!) At 6:30pm we will begin our intro and Q and A session featuring Local politicians, perspective candidates and GOP Ward organizers. The movers and shakers here in Chi-town would love to meet you and bring you along on their quest to bring Conservativism to the land and beat back the destructive forces of liberal socialism. At 7:00pm we welcome on air personality and Chicago’s own Sportsaholic William Kelly who will be speaking on conservatives in the media and entertainment industry and how these industries are crucial in conservatives winning statewide and federal offices in 2010 and beyond. Bill is a former 1994 Republican candidate for Congress in the first congressional district against Congressman and former Black Panther, Bobby Rush. Bill was the executive director of the National Taxpayers Union of Illinois. His history of anti-tax and conservative activism has been featured in the National Review’s article, “Rebel with a Cause,” http://findarticles. com/p/articles/mi_m1 282/is_n8_v46/ai_152 12085/) on the Rush Limbaugh Show, the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times, and has been interviewed on numerous national radio programs. Currently, he is the host and executive producer of the Emmy award-winning “Upscale TV,” which just finished its successful third year on FOX (www.upscaletv.com), and the new series, “William Kelly’s Sportsaholic” (www.sportsaholictv. com) on Comcast Sportsnet, Dish, and Direct TV multi-state. His irreverent style and humor have earned both programs a dedicated college age and adult late night following. The energy for conservative reform in our city is growing in leaps and bounds. It's time for us to step off the sidelines and join the political fight to regain our wards, city, state and country! Whether you come for the Tea party planning, the speeches or the whole thing you’ll find that the Black Rock Bar has a warm atmosphere, good food and great drink specials all within the confines of the 5th Ward and minutes from the Addison Brown line. Looking forward to seeing old and new faces alike and, as always, great conservative conversation. Remember, real conservatives drink beer, not Kool Aid! See you there!

Last day before the vote! Let's get out there and make our presence known! We need volunteers to hit several L-stops located in the 5th Cong. Dist. early this Monday to catch commuters as they head off to work and school. This will be the best time to connect with as many possible voters at the most critical time in the campaign. We need your help and Rosanna needs all of our support! Come out and help make that final impact on voter awareness! More details to come next Tuesday.

Time to take the 5th congressional district by storm! Since there’s been a lot of interest in this event and not everyone has a bike, I’ve divided the ride into two groups; drivers and riders. Don’t have a bike? No worries! Crank up your car stereo and fill your trunk with “Rosanna for Congress” road signs! Drivers can help by covering the West Side of the 5th congressional district. It’s less bike friendly but just as important! You can team up or drive solo. Let’s get the word about Rosanna out there from Sauganash to North Lake Ready to take the urban East Side? Pull that old bicycle out of the garage and hit the streets as we ride for Rosanna! The city is great for bike riding with miles of bike lanes on most major streets. We’ll cover everything from La Bagh Woods to the lakefront hitting Ravenswood, Wrigleyville, Roscoe Village, Lake View and Lincoln Park.
You don't have live in the 5th or be a pro cyclist to participate! All's you need is a bike in good shape and a good helmet or a reliable set of wheels. Oh, and a passion for getting the word out for our conservative candidates! We will gather at Rosanna's campaign headquarters at 9am. After receiving maps, signs and fliers, drivers will head west, riders will head east and ride along a pre-designated rout winding through the 5th Con. Dist., letting all know about Rosanna, ready to serve the needs of the people, not the needs of the liberal Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda. This event will take about 5 hours with both groups breaking for lunch around noon. If you have the time to reload and find new roads to sign then more, less if you can only help for a few hours. Any time you can give will be greatly appreciated. If you are interested please RSVP so I can send you ride specifics. I'll be offering free tune-ups and bike inspections in case your ride needs a little help before we take off. What better way to campaign that with a few hours of exercise and/or fresh air? See you on the road!

Candidate Forum! Co-sponsored by the Chicago Conservative Political Action Meet Up Group and the Chicago Townhall Meet Up Group http://townhall.meet up.com/18/. I m excited to announce a joint effort between our groups to host this forum two weeks before the primary. We republicans and conservatives know too well how underrepresented and under organized the GOP is in many city districts while the 14 democrat candidates will enjoy the luxury of a college sponsored debate forum. The republicans should have an opportunity to share their beliefs with supporters and express positions on the issues most important to residents of the 5th Congressional district. Rich Johns and myself are proud to team up and bring the candidates to you this night! We will format the meeting to opening statements, a list of 4-5 of the most popular questions fielded from both groups followed by closing statements. Visit our Poll section to weigh in on the questions to be asked! So come out and meet other local conservatives right here in the heart of Obama-dom. You'll be uplifted and encouraged by the positive Conservative grass-roots movement growing here in our own Chi-town. Black Rock Bar has a warm atmosphere, good food and great drink specials all within the confines of the 5th Ward. Looking forward to seeing old and new faces alike and, as always, great conservative conversation! See you there! P.S. Check out the agenda from our January meeting in the "Files" section!

Happy New Year, fellow Conservatives! Time to take on the challenges of this post election, Obama/liberal/social ist paradigm. We have major immediate opportunities to make an impact in Chicago and advance the tide turning against the one party dictatorship in Washington and our wards with the special election for the 5th Congressional district. Discussions will focus on: 1. Details about the election; we CAN begin the push for conservatism in the primary! 2. Defining the conservative principles we want in a candidate. 3. A look at the election process in Illinois, from ward to ward. 4. Our groups short and longterm goals for the pre-midterm election year. 5. What we're up against in Chicago, i.e. define your beliefs, don't let liberals define you! And so much more! Come out and meet other local conservatives right here in the heart of Obama-dom. You'll be uplifted and encouraged by the positive Conservative grass-roots movement growing here in our own Chi-town. Black Rock Bar has a warm atmosphere, good food and great drink specials. The liberal/socialists in power are feeling their oats! Time to kick the wind out of their kumbiya sails! Looking forward to seeing old and new faces alike and, as always, great conservative conversation! See you there! P.S. Check out the agenda from the December meeting in our "Files" section!
