Rockdale-Newton Republican Conservatives

Members of this group aspire to the traditional conservative principles of the Republican Party. This group will play an active role in events and activities within our respective counties to promote leadership and growing the Republican voter base thereby continuing the successful election of conservative Republicans to local, county, state, and federal offices.

Conservative principles: 1) Belief in natural law (good vs. evil), 2) Belief in established institutions (Church, family, Constitution), 3) Preference for liberty over equality (freedom), 4) Suspicion of power - and of human nature (no to big government), 5&6) Belief in exceptionalism and in the individual (do not believe in perfect equality all have strengths and weaknesses and believe in the individual and personal responsibility).

In the words of Barry Goldwater, "the Conservative's first concern will always be: Are we maximizing freedom?"

And in the famous words of a great man and a great President:

"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same."
