Prescott Bush plotted to overthrow FDR and implement fascism

The current president's grandfather, Prescott Bush, along with other prominent industrialists attempted a bloody coup in the 1930's to transform America into a fascist state like Germany and Italy at that time. They approached Marine Corps Maj.-Gen. Smedley Butler with the proposition of leading a half-million man army of veterans to defeat FDR's government in 1933 because his policies were perceived as too progressive. It has already been confirmed that Prescott Bush and his elitist associates engaged in financial transactions with Nazi Germany at a time when it was illegal. They conducted business with the German companies that fueled Hitler's rise to power and the Nazi war machine. Bush himself was linked to at least one Nazi business, Consolidated Silesian Steel Company (CSSC), that utilized slave labor from various concentration camps. It has been theorized that the Bush family fortune was amassed from those Nazi business dealings in the '30s and '40s. With this information in mind, you can see where George W gets his inspiration from. We can only hope and pray that America doesn't face the same fate as 1930s Germany. However, in my opinion, we are well on our way to repeating history.

A BBC Radio 4 investigation sheds new light on a major subject that has received little historical attention, the conspiracy on behalf of a group of influential powerbrokers, led by Prescott Bush, to overthrow FDR and implement a fascist dictatorship in the U.S. based around the ideology of Mussolini and Hitler.

In 1933, Marine Corps Maj.-Gen. Smedley Butler was approached by a wealthy and secretive group of industrialists and bankers, including Prescott Bush the current President's grandfather, who asked him to command a 500,000 strong rogue army of veterans that would help stage a coup to topple then President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

According to the BBC, the plotters intended to impose a fascist takeover and "Adopt the policies of Hitler and Mussolini to beat the great depression."

The conspirators were operating under the umbrella of a front group called the American Liberty League, which included many families that are still household names today, including Heinz, Colgate, Birds Eye and General Motors.

Butler played along with the clique to determine who was involved but later blew the whistle and identified the ringleaders in testimony given to the House Committee on un-American Activities.

However, the Committee refused to even question any of the individuals named by Butler and his testimony was omitted from the record, leading to charges that they were involved in covering the matter up, and the majority of the media blackballed the story.

General Smedley Butler, author of the famous quote "war is a racket", exposed the fascist plotters but was subsequently demonized and shunned by the government and the media.

In 1936, William Dodd, the U.S. Ambassador to Germany, wrote a letter to President Roosevelt in which he stated,

"A clique of U.S. industrialists is hell-bent to bring a fascist state to supplant our democratic government and is working closely with the fascist regime in Germany and Italy. I have had plenty of opportunity in my post in Berlin to witness how close some of our American ruling families are to the Nazi regime.... A prominent executive of one of the largest corporations, told me point blank that he would be ready to take definite action to bring fascism into America if President Roosevelt continued his progressive policies. Certain American industrialists had a great deal to do with bringing fascist regimes into being in both Germany and Italy. They extended aid to help Fascism occupy the seat of power, and they are helping to keep it there. Propagandists for fascist groups try to dismiss the fascist scare. We should be aware of the symptoms. When industrialists ignore laws designed for social and economic progress they will seek recourse to a fascist state when the institutions of our government compel them to comply with the provisions."

The proven record of Prescott Bush's involvement in financing the Nazi war machine dovetails with the fact that he was part of a criminal cabal that actively sought to impose a fascist coup in America.

Prescott did not succeed but many would argue that two generations down the line the mission has all but been accomplished.

how do you feel abou global warming

My opinion on Global Warming is that we all should attempt to prevent pollution as much as possible whether it exists or not. There is a great possibility that we are just experiencing a naturally occurring climate change but I can't say for sure. If you are trying to figure out if I'm a democrat or liberal, then I will inform you that I'm neither. I describe myself as a constitutional realist. Meaning that I believe that the Constitution is the highest authority of our country and I base my opinions on reality, not ideology. There are some issues I might be considered liberal on and some issues I might be considered conservative on. Our world is not black and white. Overall, you could probably label me a conservative.

I appreciate your interest in wanting to expose the truth. There are strength in numbers, so we need to convince as many people as possible that much of what they see and hear are fallacies. I don't know how certain you are of the reality of our world, but I would just request that you keep an open mind and just conduct as much research as possible. You cannot even begin to imagine what the truth is. I'm still learning it myself and it is quite frightening. There are so many sins committed by the individuals who control this country, it's obvious that they are willing to do ANYTHING if it's in their best interest(make them money).

Our government is way beyond mere corruption and the best option we have to change the situation is to elect Dr. Ron Paul for President. If you are not already a supporter of his, then I would recommend you research him and his character. Everyone needs to spread the word on Ron Paul and promote him as much as possible. The powers that be are very successful in shutting him out of the mainstream because he is a threat to them. He wants to clean up Washington and restore our country to the constitutional republic that the Founding Fathers envisioned. Tell your family, friends, and co-workers about Ron Paul so they would hopefully donate to his campaign and vote for him. He just might be our last great hope, so we need to go all out.

President Bush's penchant for writing exceptions to laws he has just signed violates the Constitution, an American Bar Association task force says in a report highly critical of the practice.The ABA group, which includes a one-time FBI director and former federal appeals court judge, said the president has overstepped his authority in attaching challenges to hundreds of new laws.The attachments, known as bill-signing statements, say Bush reserves a right to revise, interpret or disregard measures on national security and constitutional grounds."This report raises serious concerns crucial to the survival of our democracy," said the ABA's president, Michael Greco. "If left unchecked, the president's practice does grave harm to the separation of powers doctrine, and the system of checks and balances that have sustained our democracy for more than two centuries."The task force said the statements suggest the president will decline to enforce some laws. Bush has had more than 800 signing statement challenges, compared with about 600 signing statements combined for all other presidents.


OK What is this all about??? Why would one president find a reason to flag these laws that the Judicial body of our government saw fit to create. Just the shear volume of bill-signing statements would cause alarm by itself. but there might be more at work here than you see at first. It seems like a grab for a more far reaching power from the Executive branch of government. To leave laws basically open to being overturned by the Executive branch......or interpreted by Justice Sam Alito who saw the use of these back in the Regan Era.It appears that little by little this President is trying to set the Executive branch of government up as the first and last word on how things will be. All the decisions made in this country shall be made by only one man or a cadre of the inner circle......Then we will no longer live in a Democracy. Don't think this can't or won't happen. Remember your past.....or your doomed to repeat it. Don't let your personal freedoms be eroded for ANY reason. There is a Constitution and it mandates 3 branches of government. This is history that has been buried and ignored for obvious reasons. As part of the Bush administration's conflict with Iran, the C.I.A. is contracting Jundullah(an Al Qaeda affiliated terrorist group) to destabilize the Iranian government. Jundullah is part of the Al Qaeda family, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed(9/11 mastermind) was the former leader of this terrorist group. Also, Al Qaeda in general and probably Jundullah specifically, are currently listed by the US state department as terrorist organizations. I was under the impression that the U.S. government doesn't support terrorist groups. If this is the absolute truth, then the so-called "War on Terror" is nothing more than a fabrication.
